About the Institute

Mission and Vision

The Institute for European Education - IEE is an international non-governmental organization registered in the Republic of Bulgaria. Its central mission is to promote the sustainable development of education, science and business by building effective partnerships and synergy between these key fields.

Its vision is to become a leading centre for the exchange of knowledge, innovation and good practice on a European and international scale, contributing to higher-quality education and professional training. Through this work, IEE supports the development of human capital and the strengthening of international cooperation.

Structure and Governance

IEE was founded by distinguished Bulgarian and foreign scholars, who together form the Institute's Academic Council.

The Academic Council approves training programmes, evaluates and accepts developed projects, and sets the organization's strategic direction.

The Institute is governed by a General Assembly and represented by its Chair - President.

IEE maintains close cooperation with a growing network of prestigious universities and scientific institutions from Europe and around the world, including partners in:

Branches and International Activity

The Institute's central office is located at 24 "11-ti avgust" Street, Sofia, Republic of Bulgaria.

In March 2018, following a proposal by the Bulgaria-Uzbekistan Friendship Society and in line with decrees of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, aimed at strengthening the country's professional capacity, a decision was made to establish an IEE branch in Tashkent.

The branch's main task is to develop and offer programmes that raise the qualifications of specialists across different areas of the economy and administration, and to support the creation of joint projects between European and Uzbek universities.

Funding

The Institute's financial resources are secured through:

• Donations from business partners, including high-technology enterprises, and companies in tourism, wine production and other sectors.
• Participation in national and international projects.
• Training and qualification programmes.
