Nursing education across borders.

The project bridges a gap in Uzbekistan's nursing education by uniting local academic and clinical strengths with a growing consortium of European medical universities.

The Institute for European Education is a non-governmental organization registered in Sofia, Bulgaria, which has operated a successfully registered branch in Tashkent, Uzbekistan for over ten years. The Institute possesses extensive experience in developing and implementing educational projects in close cooperation with leading universities from the European Union.

In Uzbekistan, traditional nursing education is provided through colleges that do not award a bachelor's degree. This project bridges that gap by uniting local academic and clinical strengths through a partnership between Samarkand State Medical University and "Alfraganus" University, with Globus Hospital serving as the primary clinical base and providing students with state-of-the-art practical training in a modern hospital environment.

Established and prestigious educational institutions from across Europe have already successfully joined the consortium, with partners in Germany, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Serbia. Under the project's franchising model, each partner university provides and adapts its accredited nursing curriculum, and graduating students receive standard, legitimate European diplomas issued directly by the participating EU university.

The programme is fully conducted in English, targeting ambitious local and international students. While theoretical and clinical training take place primarily in Uzbekistan, students complete mandatory three-month summer internships as nursing assistants or healthcare support staff and receive additional training at participating European universities, their campuses and partner hospitals in Europe.

Joining the consortium allows European universities to expand their global presence and international recognition in the Central Asian region, gain access to a new and highly dynamic student market, and contribute directly to resolving the staffing crisis in European healthcare by training high-caliber professionals aligned with EU standards.
